Congresswoman Johnson Statement on Asian Pacific Heritage Month
WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Chair of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee today issued the following statement celebrating Asian Pacific Heritage Month:
“This month, I join my colleagues in recognizing the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities and the exceptional contributions they have made to our nation and to District 30. Cultural diversity is the heart of our country and the backbone of the Dallas community. As a member of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, I have seen firsthand that those of Asian Pacific American heritage bring with them new ideas that propel our economy forward, strengthen our education system, and make headway in the field of science and medicine.
“May members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, along with other minority communities, know that they will always be welcomed to Dallas with open arms.”
