Congresswoman Johnson Receives Commendation from North Texas Municipal Water District
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson received recognition from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) for her contributions securing water supplies for the North Texas region. The NTMWD adopted a resolution that applauded Congresswoman Johnson for her support of the organization and the legislation she has helped pass to address water accessibility in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
“It is a great honor to receive this recognition from the North Texas Municipal Water District. Often times, my legislative work in Washington addresses key issues that sometimes are not recognized by many, so I am appreciative that the benefits of our efforts during past sessions is what is truly garnering this attention,” said Congresswoman Johnson. “With another year in Congress and another year on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I look forward to working with local organizations, like the NTMWD, to prevent water-related disasters from affecting North Texas and ensure North Texans have access to clean water.”
“Congresswoman Johnson was instrumental in providing steadfast leadership, support, advocacy and action on behalf of the North Texas Municipal Water District,” said the resolution. “The thanks of the NTMWD Board of Directors, staff, and cities served cannot express the true appreciation deserved.”
