Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson released the following statement in recognition of Earth Day, which is observed tomorrow, April 22:

“Today, we recognize Earth Day and the important work that the environmental movement has done to raise awareness of threats to the environment and to fight environmental degradation.  In the coming year, we will maintain our commitment to the environment, creating clean energy jobs and working to safeguard our drinking and recreational waters.”
